What makeup do I take when I travel????

Whether your going on a weekend getaway or just to a sleepover, all of us have those things that are essential to take along with us! For me, I have 5 products that I take with me any time I know I will not be coming home the next day.

The 5 products that I am going to mention are my ride or die face products that I need to have anytime I travel! (all of the products mentioned below are ones that I have personally used and recommend)

1. Concealer...when I am traveling I tend to forgo bringing along any of my foundations or BB creams because of how much of a hassle they can be to apply sometimes, so I always bring a concealer! A concealer is like a multi-use product, so I love having it on hand at all times. I typically just conceal any blemishes and dark spots, but I can also use this to highlight areas if I want. Concealer is probably the best and only face product I need when I leave my house usually, but sometimes I get out of hand and want to take my whole collection! However, if it were to come down to me being able to only take one thing, it would probably be concealer. I just love the look of concealer on my skin and the effect it gives. Definitely my #1 travel must-have.

2. Bronzer...after concealing I always feel the need to put some color back into my face, it just makes my skin look more healthy and alive! Bronzer has always been a favorite of mine, the way it looks on the skin is incredible. Whenever I am traveling I can rely on bronzer to give my simple makeup look a sun-kissed glow! Instead of taking a blush, highlight, and bronzer when you travel, skip the others and just take a bronzer because the simplicity and easy application makes for an effortless makeup look! I usually bronze my cheeks, jawline, and temples to add more definition to my face. I could go on and on about how much I love bronzer because of how multi-functional it is, like concealer! You can use bronzer to bronze, contour, and as eye-shadow!! Yes, if you do not want to haul around an extra product just pop some bronzer on your eyelids for the ultimate bronze goddess effect when traveling! Next to concealer, bronzer is definitely a must-have travel product of mine!

3. Mascara...it goes without saying that if you love makeup than you love mascara! Mascara can turn the most simple and easy of looks into one of pure glam. Mascara makes my eyes pop on the laziest of makeup days, so that is why I need it when I travel. Without mascara my eyes and entire face would look dull. While traveling I love to have a fresh-faced, awake look and mascara, for me, is one of the many ways I achieve that look! Mascara can pull any look together and makes for a great product to travel with, that is why I take it with me while I travel!

4. Brow Gel...now many of you may fill in your brows and set them, but some of you probably do neither and just leave them natural, well I kind of switch between both! Most days I will just set my brows with a gel so they stay nice and clean looking, but some days I will fill them in to make them look a little bit fuller. However, when I travel I opt for just the brow gel to give my brows a clean and natural look. Whether it is clear or tinted, brow gel can be an amazing addition to your travel makeup bag. Makeup on vacation tends to be minimal, but with the popularity of filling in our brows many of us do not want to skip out on this crucial step. Brow gel, however, can let you achieve the look you want while allowing you to quickly and easily do it. Brow gel is just another product that I love to have in my travel makeup bag!

5. Tinted Lip Balm...instead of bringing a bunch of lipsticks on vacay, why not bring a tinted lip balm? Like I said before, when I am on vacation I love to do simple and easy looks, so that is exactly why I forgo hauling a ton of different lipsticks with me instead I opt for a lip balm with a sheer tint. These lip balms not only look natural, but they also give a nice moisturizing feel. Like all of the other products above, tinted lip balm is such a nice product to achieve that fresh and easy makeup look, that is why I always have on while I am away from home!
