Ipsy Bag Review: October

Some of you may have heard of Ipsy before, but if you haven't, here is a quick summary of what it is. Ipsy is a company that offers a new cosmetic bag each month with new contents of a variation in beauty products. There are usually 4-5 products in the bag and this service costs $10 a month, but if you sign up for an entire year you get one bag free. I have been a member of this program since January of 2014 and I love it! Who doesn't want to get a cute make-up bag full of goodies each month?

From now on, I will be reviewing each bag I receive each month to show the products and to let you guys know what I think of the service. Some of you may have been wondering if it's worth it or right for you, so I am hoping to answer some of those questions through these reviews. If you are interested in learning more about Ipsy and the bags please comment any questions or concerns you have. If you are interested in joining click the link down below to join!

Since it is October, this month's bag theme is Halloween inspired and the bag was specially designed by the company Valfre. Valfre is such a unique and creative company with amazing products from phone cases to die for and backpacks that you have to get your hands on! Since Valfre designed the bag this month, they were kind enough to share a 25% off code (IPSY25) that is valid until 11/15/16 on their website for first time purchasers (link will be down below)! I decided to share that code with you all just in case you were interested and you wanted to buy some cute stuff! Anyway lets move on to the review itself!

First off the bags each month are so cute, but this month's bag is even better! The print and overall design is amazing and by far my favorite bag I have very received from Ipsy! With that being said, I am surprised that the products this month didn't match up with the bar the bag set. Usually I love each and every item I receive from Ipsy, but this month's products were a little less exciting. Now, don't get me wrong, Ipsy is a great subscription service and I definitely recommend any makeup lovers or newbies to try it out, but this month, for me, was quite boring product wise. Two of the products I received were duplicates of ones I received in the past, which is a little annoying. I feel like a subscription service should be aware if they have already sent an item out before, but maybe that wont bother others who loved these products. Besides those two duplicate products, the other three are perfectly fine and great, but they just didn't 'wow' me like things have in the past. Also keep in mind that each month Ipsy has about 25 different items that may or may not be in your bag each month, so even though you may not like my items that doesn't mean that will get the same thing. Below is a picture of the my bags contents:

October 2016 Ipsy Bag Contents
First product in my bag is the MeMeMe brand blush brush. This brush is the perfect size for travel and is really soft! I really like getting brushes so this wasn't a complete fail, but I wasn't super excited about it either. I definitely think this is great for newbies and professionals, you can never have enough brushes!

Next we have the full-sized Essence Cosmetics superfine eyeliner pen (waterproof). As a girl who has a love/hate relationship with eyeliner, I wasn't super thrilled about this product either, however I do like the brand and their other products that I have tried. I will give this a chance and see if it is, in fact, waterproof. Like I said before this item is great for those newbies and professionals out there in the makeup world who love to have that fierce winged eyeliner look! They also have a coupon code for their website (ipsyessence20) for 20% off your purchase! Website link below!

Now onto one of the products that I have seen and used before, Pure Brazilian's Miracle Leave-In Conditioner with keratin. I do think this is a great product and I am going to use it because it is a good leave-in product, however I still am not happy with receiving it twice. I do believe that this will work for anyone and is a great size for traveling. They also have a code for their website (PURE20) for 20% off any of their products! Link below!

The next product is also a repeat product, which is the TreStique Mini Matte Lip Crayon in Florence Fig. Although this lip color is gorgeous and will be beautiful on anyone who wears it, I am still disappointed that I received something I already have and in the exact same shade! If I had received the other shade I wouldn't be disappointed in the slightest because it would be something new to try, however that is not the case. Again I love Ipsy, but two repeat products in one bag is not cool. TreStique also has a coupon code (IPSYFALLFUN30) for 30% off orders of $40 or more! Website link down below!

Lastly we have the product I am most excited to try, which is the theBalm Cosmetics Hot Mama Blush! I always love receiving products from theBalm and this time was no exception! This blush is a pink-gold color and will look beautiful on anyone! This product an be used on eyes or face to achieve various makeup looks. theBalm also has a coupon code (IPSY20) to get 20% off your purchase! Website link below!

All in all, Ipsy's October 2016 bag is a 7/10 because I love the bag, but not the products! I definitely recommend Ipsy to anyone who wants to try it out! It is such a fun subscription service that is like a present in your mailbox every month! To sign up, use my link: https://www.ipsy.com/new?cid=ppage_ref&sid=link&refer=3p2q
