For more reasons than one, I reach for this sponge over my beauty blender 9 times out of 10. As you can see by the images below, both sponges have different shapes which help to apply makeup in different ways. I prefer the Real Techniques because the flat edge is so helpful when blending down my neck and chin. I also love how when I wet the Real Techniques sponge, that stays damp longer than my Beauty Blender. Since I have dry skin I love when my beauty sponge is slightly damper than usual so I can keep my skin hydrated while applying my foundation. lastly I think the price difference is one of the main reasons why I love one over the other. The only reason I bought the Beauty Blender was due to the internet hype and I really wish I hadn't. The Real Techniques sponge, to me, is way better for a way more reasonable price. I highly suggest to you all that you try the Real Techniques sponge whether you have a Beauty Blender that you love or you don't, because I almost guarantee it will change the way your foundations applies and you will love it!
